Another weird APEX video

I came across another video to promote Oracle Application Express. At least I think that is the goal, but as I don't understand the language I'm not sure about it ;-)

What I find a bit strange is that the author of the video doesn't have a high-speed connection to his APEX instance. So whenever he clicks it takes some time to load the page. Just for the people who didn't see APEX yet, this is not normal. There is definitely something wrong at his end or he must have a very slow line.

Anyway I like there are more videos coming out... actually I'm working on a couple too ;-)

Wow, that's super slow! Don't know what this demonstration PC has, because he is accessing localhost. But that way it's not really a good promotion of the speed APEX normally has.

It's so slow it suggests something like a DNS timeout to me.

I'm impressed by his patience though, surely he can't be using that on a day to day basis?!

Anyone considering using APEX, go to http://apex.oracle.com and signup for a free account, that will give you a much more representative feel for how fast APEX should be.

Hi Dimitri,

Off topic. What happend to the ApexNA site yesterday? You seemed to have a 'Ruby' hijacking earlier in the day. Everytime I visited I was sent to rubyonrails.org.

Yikes, I couldn't watch more than a few seconds, due to the low quality sound and that I don't understand whatever language he's speaking.

Odd that it's so slow locally; my home machine runs Apex much faster.
