APEX 5.0 Fixed Headings for Interactive Reports

When you click on the Attributes of your Interactive Report there's a neath little new features included called "Heading - Fixed to" with as options: None, Region and Page

We've got this request from many customers and it has always been a pain to get it working in every condition with APEX 4.x, but no hacking anymore - it's there now in APEX 5.0.
When you start to scroll the column header will move up and the content will scroll underneath it.

Here's a quick demo:

This is very good!
Is this coming to Classic Reports as well?
Too bad I built this myself a few months ago...

Unfortunately it doesn't work when using Control breaks.

Are there any bugs related to multi-line headers with Fixed to Page set.
I'm seeing an issue on a multi-line header where it sizes to one line when
there are 3?

You should install the latest patch set of APEX 5 (at the time of writing 5.0.1) and also patch set exceptions (especially for the theme)
It contains some fixes. You might need to refresh your theme to take it as effect.

Ok. Thank You.. I'll try the patch.
The issue only seems to happen in IE when using the Text Size setting for larger sizes,
but seems to vary at times..

How could I obtain freeze header effect using pivot in an IR?

Hi Dimitri,

I am having issue with interactive report. I have set the header columns to page, but my interactive report is completely distorted. The th and td or not aligned properly respective to each other.

I am adding css to the columns i.e. width as i want to show my content within a specified area only.

I can clearly explain you regarding my issue by sending some snapshots.

Being on the 5.0.3 update seems to have fixed the multi-line header issue I was seeing.

But, I'm seeing another issue when an interactive report is inside of a tab.
The column headers do not size correctly when first entering the page.
After a refresh they are ok.
I have mutiple tabs with IR's and the others are ok. Just the current one does not size
correctly on first page load.

If the fixed column heading is set to none it is ok.

Hi Dimitri,

Can we do it in tabular form? Or if there is a way to do it in tabular.

Thanks
Nabila

Sure, but you would need to add some javascript to your page, which does the same as for the IR, but than on the table of the tabular form. I've not done that code yet.

In APEX 5.1 with Interactive Grid it's there by default, so it might be worth the wait...
