APEX Meet-up OOW 2011

On Tuesday we had our 6th APEX Meet-up at Oracle Open World (OOW).

It was another great time to have some fun and chats with other people developing and using Oracle Application Express applications.

This is just one of the picture, you find more pictures here.

As there were so many people we didn't have one picture with all of us. Some also came in later... it started with grabbing two tables, but at the end we filled half of the bar :-)

If you were at the APEX Meet-up and have some other pictures, please send them to me and I'll add them to the album.

Special thanks to OTN, ODTUG and the APEX Development team to sponsor the meet-up. Although we were with many people, the costs for drinks and appetisers where covered by the sponsorship! Thanks again.

APEX Meetup @ OOW 2010

It's an annual tradition, so also this year we'll organize an APEX Meetup at the 4th Street Bar & Deli on the Tuesday (7.30 PM) during Oracle Open World.

Here you find some pictures of last year. As you can see, it's always fun with nice people, drinks and food.

Every year we get more people during the meetup, so we started to get sponsors to help to pay for the bills ;-)

Thanks so much to our sponsors of this year:
- Oracle Technology Network (OTN)
- Oracle Development Tools User Group (ODTUG)
- APEX Development Team

If you or your company wants to sponsor aswell, feel free to send me a mail or add a comment to this post. The current total to spend is $500 :-)

See you soon!

OOW09 - APEX Meetup

As an annual tradition, also this year we had an APEX Meetup at the 4th Street Bar & Deli during Oracle Open World.

Every year the numbers of people coming to this meetup is increasing. People from all over the world talk about APEX and make fun. The APEX Development team was also present.

And this year we had some sponsors too: ODTUG, OTN and Oracle APEX team were so nice to pay for our drinks. So a special thanks to the complete ODTUG board, Justin and Lillian of OTN and Joel of the APEX Development team!

Below you find some pictures...

A lovely evening with all nice people, a day to keep in memory...

OOW08 - APEX Meetup

Some of you are maybe already on the way to San Francisco as Oracle Open World is just around the corner! San Francisco will look completely red and crowded with people affiliated with Oracle once more. I'll be one of them.

This time it promises to be a hectic one. The schedule is loaded with APEX sessions (overlapping even), parties are all over the place and I'm down for three presentations; two on Sunday and one on Monday. You find my schedule in a nice APEX app that works on my HTC Touch. (my presentations are marked in red)

But I look forward to OOW'08. Meeting all other Oracle and APEX minded people again is always fun!

As every year and on all big Oracle conferences, also this year we're organizing another APEX Meetup.

APEX lovers come together to chat about Application Express, work, the past and the future in a very relaxed atmosphere with some food and drinks.

Just like the previous times at OOW we choose for the Fourth Street Bar & Deli place. You're free to join us on Tuesday 7:30 PM.

Hope to see you all in a couple of days!

APEX Meetup at ODTUG08 - Tuesday 7.15 PM

It's becoming a tradition that on all major Oracle events we organize an APEX Meetup.

ODTUG Kaleidoscope is already in two weeks, so time to announce the next meetup!

As ODTUG planned to have a lot of fun, food, and networking events on all the days (which is great!), the only reasonable time would be Tuesday 7.15 PM. If you all agree we will meet in the lobby of the Sheraton hotel.

From there we'll leave to a nice bar in New Orleans. I don't know anything in New Orleans yet but if somebody has already a suggestion, feel free to put a comment on the blog. But I'm sure we'll have some people with us who have done some research the days before ;-)

Just to have an idea of people, can you please register your name on the APEX Meetup site.

Thanks... and see you very soon now!
